IKEA | A BETTER WORLD STARTS AT HOME
We created IKEAs first global sustainability platform, with the mission to fight climate change one home at a time. A Better World Starts at Home sets out to educate and encourage people all over the world and show that doing good at home, is easier than you think. Assets were created for all mediums and adapted to local languages in IKEA markets, together with a graphic identity used in all markets for events and educational purposes.

We launched the platform with The Accidental Environmentalists:
a film that salutes ordinary people who are doing good at home, without even realizing it. Meet the clueless tree huggers,
the sleeping activists, the unsung water savers and many more.
For social and online video, we created several vignettes that dive deeper into the stories and the products at IKEA that can help you make better choices at home.
On Instagram, we went beyond IKEA products and simply gave everyday sustainability tips, told by a cast of unexpected everyday heroes.

A whole range of assets for the platform were created for OOH, in-store signage, events and hands on workshops, internal comms to rally the co-workers around the world, and even a children’s bedtime book Sweet Cotton Dreams that teaches kids why sustainable cotton is the better choice.

The Resurrected Vegetables were one of many activities in store. This one educated visitors which vegetable scraps they could regrow, from the comfort of their kitchen.

Dozens of hands-on workshops we created, became a big hit around the world where IKEA family members could sign up to participate and learn to make better choices at home.
