T-Mobile Netherlands wanted to promote its launch of the 5G network. A pivotal moment which means we no longer have to worry about speed, connection or lag, but how do you promote something that is barely visible for customers? We came up with an idea that makes the power of 5G tangible, far from the sci-fi scenarios painted by many other telco providers.

“The Impossible Tattoo - Made Possible by 5G from T-Mobile” reveals the power of 5G with the first ever remote tattoo placed successfully in real time onto human skin.

The stunt was captured on film, showing the entire journey from R&D to the nerve-wracking moment leading up to the tattoo.

Together with The Mill, we spent months developing the cutting edge technology which enabled a tattoo artist in one location, to control a robot arm in another location with millimeter accuracy, all via 5G.
